The Table Before the Meeting

A one-minute film from a Dear Ray letter by Brent Snyder. Narration, music, and subtitles.

Christ’s supply begins in Christ. The listening and availability described in this earlier film must proceed from Zoe. A shared table does not generate fellowship; the life of God must flow among His members.

We have an answer before we understand the wound. We move the conversation toward a spiritual conclusion because we are uncomfortable remaining with what we cannot solve. But perhaps Christ’s supply begins with listening. Perhaps the meal continues while the answer does not come. Perhaps the person discovers that he is loved without having his condition resolved before dessert. Ray, I want the life before the meeting. I want us to know who has been carrying too much, who needs company, and who has quietly disappeared.
