What happens when Christian forms continue after the inward life that produced them has weakened? Can meetings, teachings, trainings, and ministries become substitutes for direct contact with Christ?
The letters are personal, searching, sometimes disruptive, and unfinished. They do not offer a new system. They record a shared attempt to recognize what is merely inherited, what is truly living, and what the Lord may be asking us to leave behind.
