When Our Care Is Rejected

1 minute · Narration, music, and subtitles

Bringing our hurt to Christ when care is rejected, within the union already ours.

Transcript

We care for someone, and our care is rejected. Before long, we are questioning everything. Was it love? Was it my need to be needed? Brother, we can bring that hurt to Christ. Our union with Him has not disappeared because our emotions are unsettled. The issue is still Zoe, the life of God within us. Another rule about how to care will not supply the life we need. We can let Him touch our demand that the other person respond. We can acknowledge disappointment without turning it into an accusation against them or a sentence against ourselves. He is already our life. We can receive His love in the very place where our own care has left us wounded.
