Welcome

There are many hungers in this world. We can be hungry for simple things such as food, and water etc. or we could be hungry for wealth, possessions, or power. Yes, hunger in and of itself is not wrong or right, it simply is.  But hunger can damn or can bless and this is an important consideration. I can’t speak for all of course, but when I was very young, I wanted God and I think for many the hunger for God begins then. For others perhaps a threatening situation can create hunger for God; however whether it begins at youth or during an extreme situation it does not remain a blessing unless the hunger remains or returns. Received value from a sated hunger is to gain all the nutrients that the food has intrinsically into your body for it to grow and be nourished. If the hunger does not return then what good is it to eat but once and then to die. So yes hunger is important. And hunger for God is of the utmost importance.

For many their hunger for God disappears at a younger age and some of the anxieties of the age begin creeping in. And soon the target of their focus becomes the all the traditional cultural natural values of their family and community: such as making a living, finding a spouse, or making a family, etc. God becomes at best important one day a week and at worst forgotten.

So let’s make a distinction between the blogging audience, of which I invite all or any to read criticize and hopefully add their insight, and this blogs intended audience, those who still hunger for God.

For many are called but few are chosen…
