Hope and patience in an unfinished life, with Christ already our life today.
Transcript
Dear Brother Ray, perhaps God sees the completed person while we live through the unfolding. Faith then becomes a form of remembering forward: receiving today something of the person we will be in resurrection and glory. I mean trusting Christ so deeply that His promised completion begins to change how we inhabit this unfinished day. We can acknowledge what still needs to grow without making our incompleteness the whole truth about us. The brother before us is more than the weakness we can presently identify. There is a work of Christ unfolding in him that we cannot yet see in its fullness. That gives us reason for patience, and room for hope. Christ Himself, our life today.
